Color plays very important role for design.
l Take into account color issue when you design poster or deal with typography. Luminance contrast with background is really important for small text. However, luminance contrast is less important when design elements are very large like poster title or head line of paper.
l Color symbol is not universal which means designer for international markets must consider meaning of color and symbol of certain color for each culture.
Yellow is least favorite color in Christian culture because it represents meanness, persecution. However, yellow is favorite color in Hinduism and Buddhism culture.
l It is good to use subdued color for large area like background. Also, it is better to use strong color for small area to make it more visible and distinct. Preferred colors are: Red-Green and Yellow- Blue channels.
l To make object easily identified using opponent-channel theory is crucial.
